2 Cool 4 Skool is BTS’s debut single album, released on June 12, 2013 via Big Hit Entertainment. Though categorized as a single album, it spans more than 27 minutes and introduces the group’s raw hip-hop roots, themes of youth and dreams, and self-production involvement. Lead track No More Dream delivers hard-hitting questions about chasing one’s aspirations, while We Are Bulletproof Pt.2 asserts defiance against conformity. The physical album sold steadily, peaking at number five on the Gaon Album Chart in its seventh week, and laid the foundational sound and message that would define BTS’s early identity and begin the global phenomenon of ARMY.
