LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear’ is BTS’s third Korean studio album, released on May 18, 2018 by Big Hit Entertainment. The eleven-track record explores themes of identity, loss, and self-discovery within the “Love Yourself” series. Lead single FAKE LOVE blends rock, hip-hop and electropop to examine the cost of hiding one’s true self in a relationship. Other standout tracks include Intro : Singularity, The Truth Untold (Feat. Steve Aoki), Paradise (낙원), Magic Shop, and Outro : Tear, each contributing to the narrative arc of youth facing separation and ultimately finding strength. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with over 135,000 equivalent album units, marking the first Korean album to reach that position. In Korea it became one of the best-selling albums of 2018 and further solidified ARMY’s global support.
