Circus is Stray Kids’ second Japanese mini album released on June 22, 2022 via JYP Entertainment and Epic Records Japan. With six tracks blending hip hop trap rock and pop, this EP captures a vibrant circus theme and highlights the group’s self produced strengths led by 3RACHA. The title song Circus opens with dynamic bass and drum patterns reminiscent of elephant footsteps and features catchy vocal chops that stand out in their discography. Other highlights include new Japanese originals Fairytale and Your Eyes, plus Japanese versions of fan favorites Maniac, Venom, and Silent Cry. Circus debuted at number two on the Oricon Albums Chart and topped Billboard Japan Hot Albums, earning platinum certification for over 250 000 copies sold and solidifying STAYs’ support in Japan.
