Mixtape is Stray Kids’ predebut Korean EP, released on January 8, 2018 via JYP Entertainment and Genie Music. Featuring tracks written and performed during their survival show, this seven track release laid the foundation for the group’s self produced identity. The title track Hellevator introduced their message of struggle, growth, and youth defiance, themes that would carry throughout their discography. The EP debuted at No. 2 on the Gaon Album Chart and entered the Billboard World Albums Chart, marking their global breakout before their official debut. With over 45,000 physical sales in its first month, Mixtape earned early support from STAY and highlighted Stray Kids as the next major force in K-pop.
