Xdinary Heroes - IMPULSE

IMPULSE is Xdinary Heroes' ninth mini album, scheduled for release on October 12, 2026 through JYP Entertainment. The seven-track release marks the group's first comeback as a five-member band following Gunil's departure, with Jooyeon, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han and Jungsu continuing Xdinary Heroes' distinctive approach to rock-driven music. Built around the theme of desire and the impulses that move people, IMPULSE introduces a new chapter for the band while continuing their reputation for energetic, genre-blending sounds and self-produced music.

The title track "Obsessed with Youth" leads the album and continues Xdinary Heroes' collaboration with producer Lee Woo Min, known as collapsedone, who has previously worked on several of the band's title tracks. Elsewhere, "Give Up The Ghost" and the explosive "Slashhh!" add further intensity, while "u and me in arguments" and "You Right There" suggest more personal and relationship-focused moments. "Love in dystopia" and "Breathe in, Breathe out" round out the release, with all five members participating directly in the writing and composition process and continuing the band's hands-on approach to their music.

IMPULSE follows Xdinary Heroes' eighth mini album DEAD AND, released in April 2026, and arrives after a period of extensive live activity. The band has performed at major events including Lollapalooza Chicago and the Busan International Rock Festival, as well as opening for MUSE's Korean concert, while also continuing their international touring activities. The new mini album gives Xdinary Heroes and their fandom, Villains, a chance to experience the band's next musical chapter as they move forward with their new five-member lineup.
