Eric Nam - Confessions of a Lonely Heart

Eric Nam released Confessions of a Lonely Heart on October 16, 2026, through The Eric Nam Company. His fourth English-language studio album features nine tracks exploring heartbreak, longing, obsession, and the desire for connection. Arriving approximately three years after House on a Hill, the release takes a more intimate approach, considering how wanting to be loved can coexist with the fear of letting someone get close. Its pop sound draws on 1980s influences, acoustic arrangements, and touches of country.

Lead track “Psycho” channels intense attraction into energetic synth-pop, capturing the point where infatuation begins to become obsession. “Miss Me More” explores the less flattering feelings that follow a breakup, while “Sober Up” faces the loneliness waiting beyond a temporary escape. The stripped-back “Make Me Cry” places vulnerability at the centre, and “How the Fire Started” pairs an acoustic setting with a story of betrayal. Closing track “Someday” offers a gentler, hopeful perspective, leaving room for the possibility of finding love again.

With Eric participating in songwriting throughout the album, Confessions of a Lonely Heart connects these different sounds through personal storytelling and his warm, airy vocals. The songs move from emotional uncertainty towards acceptance without smoothing away the contradictions along the way. For listeners drawn to melodic pop with candid lyrics, the album offers a reflective collection about learning to acknowledge what you need, admit what hurts, and remain open to connection.
