ILLIT - BREAK EVEN

BREAK EVEN is ILLIT's fifth mini album, set for release on October 26, 2026 through BELIFT LAB. Following the group's fourth mini album It's Me, the release marks a new chapter in ILLIT's approach to love and relationships. Taking its name from the economic term "break-even point," BREAK EVEN centers on reaching a point where there is neither gain nor loss, with ILLIT declaring that they will no longer keep investing their time and emotions in relationships that give nothing back.

The four-track mini album opens with "Super in Love," which explores the realization that a seemingly mutual relationship may have been one-sided all along. "More" follows as those feelings of disappointment and embarrassment turn into frustration, leading into the title track "You're Under Arrest," where ILLIT finally chooses to take control and end the relationship rather than continue waiting for someone who remains indifferent. The closing track "Pop" shifts the mood completely, capturing the excitement of suddenly being drawn to someone new. Together, the songs form a connected emotional progression from infatuation and disappointment to confidence and a fresh start.

BREAK EVEN arrives as ILLIT continues building on the momentum of their debut in 2024, following songs such as "Magnetic," "Do the Dance" and "It's Me." Their previous title track "It's Me" reached No. 2 on the Melon chart, No. 67 on the Billboard Global 200 and earned four wins on Korean music shows. With BREAK EVEN, ILLIT moves from openly pursuing love to setting clearer boundaries, giving the group a more self-directed perspective while retaining the candid charm that has become part of their musical identity.
