BTS THE PLANET is a digital single released on May 12, 2023 as part of the official soundtrack for the Korean animated series BASTIONS. Issued through BIGHIT MUSIC, the song marked BTS’s first full group release in nearly a year during a period when several members were focused on solo activities and military enlistment preparations. Created specifically as the main theme song for BASTIONS, THE PLANET was developed to support the series’ environmental message centered around protecting the Earth from pollution and climate change. 

The song blends upbeat pop rock and electronic influences with energetic band instrumentation, bright melodies and uplifting vocal harmonies that reflect BTS’s signature motivational sound.
