The album continues the narrative that began with Love Yourself 承 'Her', shifting the story from the excitement of love to the pain and emotional complexity that can follow. The era was promoted with the dramatic lead single Fake Love, presenting a darker concept that reflects themes of heartbreak, identity, and the struggle to remain true to oneself.
