CHUU - Only cry in the rain - LP Version

Only cry in the rain is CHUU’s third mini album, released on April 21, 2025 through ATRP. Following Howl and Strawberry Rush, the five-track release explores the emotions and memories of youth, focusing on facing feelings that are difficult to express and finding the strength to move forward. The album presents a more mature and emotionally reflective side of CHUU while retaining the warm, comforting energy that has become part of her identity as a solo artist.

The dreamy title track Only cry in the rain uses New Wave synth-pop to turn a rainy day into a space for releasing emotions that have been held back. Back in town takes a softer R&B-inspired approach, while Kiss a kitty brings a playful and easygoing contrast to the album’s more introspective moments. Je t’aime adds a romantic touch, and No more closes the release with a brighter, confident pop sound, giving the mini album a balance of vulnerability, sweetness and self-assurance.

Only cry in the rain continued CHUU’s solo career after her successful previous releases, reaching No. 15 on the Circle Album Chart. The mini album also became her first release to receive a physical LP version, expanding its appeal to collectors alongside the standard album formats.
