I AM is the first mini album by South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE, released on May 2, 2018 through CUBE Entertainment. The album marked the group's official debut and introduced their distinct musical identity with the title track “LATATA,” establishing the confident and charismatic style that would become an important part of (G)I-DLE's sound.

The six-track I AM tracklist combines energetic dance production with hip-hop, pop, and more atmospheric sounds. “LATATA” delivers a rhythmic, performance-focused sound built around its memorable hook, while “$$$” brings a stronger hip-hop influence and “MAZE” takes a more melodic approach. The album also includes the softer “DON’T TEXT ME,” “알고 싶어,” and “들어줘요,” giving the debut release a varied mix of moods and showcasing the members' vocals alongside their confident performance style.

I AM introduced (G)I-DLE to the K-pop scene with a strong musical identity and helped establish the foundation for the group's later career.
