(G)I-DLE - I SWAY - Special Version

I SWAY is the seventh mini album by South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE, released on July 8, 2024 through CUBE Entertainment. Following their second full-length album 2, the release marked the group's summer comeback and introduced a colorful, retro-inspired concept built around summer vacation, warm weather, and carefree energy. The album continued (G)I-DLE's tradition of combining strong concepts with member-driven songwriting and production.

The four-track I SWAY is led by “Klaxon,” a bright summer dance track created with a playful, retro sound and lyrics expressing the excitement of falling in love. Soyeon participated in the song's lyrics, composition, and arrangement, working with members of the production team behind “Queencard” and “Super Lady.” “Last Forever” brings a more melodic and dreamy mood, with Yuqi participating in its songwriting and composition, while Minnie contributed to the songwriting and composition of the funky and rhythmic “Bloom.” The album closes with “Neverland,” a warm fan song named after (G)I-DLE's official fandom, giving the release a more personal and affectionate ending.

I SWAY showcases a lighter and more carefree side of (G)I-DLE while maintaining the group's distinctive creative identity. With its summer-focused concept, colorful production, and contributions from all five members, the mini album became an important release leading into the group's 2024 iDOL world tour. For Neverland, I SWAY offers a bright and refreshing chapter in (G)I-DLE's discography, balancing playful summer pop with the group's signature self-produced approach.
