IVE - ALIVE - STANDARD Version

ALIVE is IVE’s second Japanese EP, released on August 28, 2024 through Ariola Japan. Following their first Japanese EP WAVE, the release marked another step in the group’s activities in Japan and features five songs performed in Japanese. The EP was released in several formats, including limited editions with a Blu-ray or photobook, individual member jacket editions, a standard edition, and a Pokémon-themed limited edition.

The EP opens with “CRUSH,” a bright and energetic Japanese original that serves as the main track, followed by “Will,” another original Japanese song chosen as the opening theme for the Pokémon television anime. The remaining tracks bring Japanese versions of some of IVE’s major Korean releases: “I AM” carries the confident energy of their first full album, while “Off The Record” and “Baddie” offer contrasting sides of the I’VE MINE era. Together, the five tracks balance new Japanese material with familiar songs for DIVE.

ALIVE achieved strong results in Japan, reaching No. 2 on the Oricon weekly albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart. It also topped Billboard Japan’s weekly Top Albums Sales chart with 117,648 copies sold during its first week of tracking. The EP later received a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, reflecting sales of at least 250,000 copies.
