IVE - ELEVEN

ELEVEN is the debut single album by South Korean girl group IVE, released on December 1, 2021 through Starship Entertainment. Introducing YUJIN, GAEUL, REI, WONYOUNG, LIZ and LEESEO as IVE, the release established the group’s polished and confident image from the beginning. Its elegant styling, distinctive choreography and sophisticated pop sound quickly set the foundation for IVE’s identity as a group built around confidence and individuality. 

The title track ELEVEN is an energetic dance-pop song about the overwhelming feeling of falling in love, with a memorable rhythm and a striking pre-chorus that slows down before returning to its catchy chorus. The B-side Take It provides a different side of the debut, using a groovy, bass-driven sound and a more playful attitude to highlight the members’ vocal colors. Together, the two songs make a compact introduction to IVE while showing that their debut was not built around the title track alone. 

ELEVEN became an exceptionally successful debut, rising to No. 1 on the Korean Album Chart and eventually surpassing 500,000 copies in Korea, earning a double-platinum certification. The title track also reached No. 2 on the Circle Digital Chart, while IVE earned their first music show win just one week after debut, making them the fastest girl group at the time to achieve a first-place win. ELEVEN remains a defining starting point for IVE’s career and the beginning of their rapid rise in K-pop.
