IVE - IVE EMPATHY - MD Version

IVE EMPATHY is IVE’s third Korean mini album, released on February 3, 2025 through Starship Entertainment. Following I’VE MINE and IVE SWITCH, the six-track EP expands IVE’s signature message of self-love into a broader theme of empathy, focusing on emotional connection and understanding different perspectives. The release features the double title tracks “REBEL HEART” and “ATTITUDE” and continues IVE’s confident pop identity for DIVE, their official fandom.

The album explores several sides of IVE’s sound without relying on one single style. “REBEL HEART” offers an uplifting, sentimental take on solidarity and finding comfort in others, while “ATTITUDE” brings a brighter, groovier energy with its recognizable interpolation of Suzanne Vega’s “Tom’s Diner.” “FLU” uses the idea of a virus as a playful metaphor for an irresistible attraction, while “TKO” shifts into hip-hop-influenced territory with boxing imagery and a more assertive attitude. “Thank U” adds a softer, more restrained moment, with member Liz participating in its songwriting.

IVE EMPATHY debuted at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart and became another million-selling release for IVE, surpassing one million copies shortly after its release and receiving Million certification from the KMCA. The pre-release “REBEL HEART” also earned six wins on Korean music programs and achieved a strong digital run, reaching No. 1 on the Circle monthly digital chart in February 2025. The album went on to rank No. 7 on Circle’s 2025 annual album chart.
