MIYEON - MY

MY is the first solo mini album by South Korean singer MIYEON, released on April 27, 2022 through CUBE Entertainment. The album marked the (G)I-DLE main vocalist's official solo debut and takes its title from both MIYEON's initials and the word “my,” reflecting the album's focus on introducing her own musical identity and personality. Following her work on drama OSTs and collaborations, MY gave MIYEON the opportunity to step into the spotlight as a solo artist and showcase her distinctive vocal style.

The six-track MY opens with “Rose,” a warm pop track that introduces the album's gentle atmosphere, followed by title track “Drive,” which combines pop-rock elements with a refreshing, uplifting sound. “Drive” focuses on moving forward without losing your own color, making it a fitting introduction to MIYEON's solo journey. “Softly” shifts toward smooth R&B, while “TE AMO” explores the excitement of falling in love. “Charging” featuring JUNNY adds a more intimate duet element, and “Rain” closes the album with a softer, emotional atmosphere.

MY established MIYEON as a solo vocalist with a sound centered on warm melodies, expressive vocals, and a softer musical identity that complements her work with (G)I-DLE. The album's personal concept and varied tracklist gave fans a closer look at MIYEON outside of the group, making MY an important release in her solo discography and a notable album for Neverland.
