XODIAC - PHANTOM FIRE

XODIAC released their third mini album, PHANTOM FIRE, on June 2, 2026, through One Cool Jacso Entertainment, with distribution by Sony Music Korea. Continuing the dark, fantasy-inspired world developed through their previous release, Alibi, the South Korean boy group takes its storyline into a new phase where opposing forces become allies. The album combines a dramatic concept with a modern, genre-blending K-pop sound, highlighting XODIAC’s evolving musical identity and performance style. Available in Ashen and Obsidian versions, PHANTOM FIRE also offers collectors different visual interpretations of the group’s latest concept.

The title track “Phantom Fire” combines powerful synth bass with a fluid groove, drawing on drum and bass, Jersey club, and trap influences. Its shifting rhythms and dynamic production create an intense, unpredictable sound that puts the members’ vocals and choreography at the forefront. “You Know” offers a contrasting musical direction, pairing crisp electric guitar with a fuller band sound that blends rock and R&B elements. The unit version of “You Know” provides an additional interpretation of the song, while “On The Rock” introduces a more restrained atmosphere through its rhythmic bass, relaxed instrumentation, and blend of R&B, soul, pop, and rock. Closing track “Starlight” brings a brighter pop-rock sound, using the imagery of stars and constellations to express sincerity and connection with the group’s fans.

PHANTOM FIRE showcases XODIAC’s versatility through a five-track collection that balances high-impact dance production with melodic, vocal-focused songs. Its continuation of the group’s fantasy-inspired storyline gives the release a stronger narrative connection to their earlier work, while the different musical styles allow each track to establish its own atmosphere. From the aggressive energy of the title track to the warmth of “Starlight,” the mini album highlights XODIAC’s development as performers and recording artists. For XODIAC fans and K-pop collectors, PHANTOM FIRE is a compelling addition to the group’s discography, combining ambitious storytelling, genre diversity, and striking visual concepts.
