XODIAC - THROW A DICE

XODIAC made their official debut with the digital single “THROW A DICE” on April 25, 2023, before releasing their first mini album of the same name on June 7, 2023, through One Cool Jacso Entertainment. The five-track K-pop album introduces the South Korean boy group’s musical identity through a combination of dance-pop, hip-hop, R&B, and softer melodic sounds. Built around themes of confidence, ambition, and taking chances, THROW A DICE reflects the group’s determination to make their mark in the K-pop scene while showcasing the different vocal and performance styles of its members.

The title track “THROW A DICE” delivers an energetic blend of dance-pop and hip-hop, driven by a confident rhythm and a performance-focused arrangement that captures the excitement of taking risks. “CALLING” opens the mini album with an introduction to XODIAC’s sound, setting the stage for the group’s debut journey. “SPECIAL LOVE” offers a brighter, more romantic atmosphere, balancing the stronger energy of the title track with a melodic and approachable pop sound. Meanwhile, “MIDNIGHT SKY” brings a more atmospheric mood, while “ALWAYS” adds a softer, heartfelt dimension through its emotional delivery. Together, the five songs create a varied introduction that highlights both XODIAC’s energetic performance style and their more sentimental side.

THROW A DICE established the foundation of XODIAC’s discography, introducing the group’s sound and concept to listeners through a combination of confident dance tracks and melodic songs. The mini album followed a series of pre-debut releases, including “CALLING,” “ALWAYS,” “MIDNIGHT SKY,” and “SPECIAL LOVE,” giving fans an early look at the group’s different musical styles before bringing them together in one collection. With its mix of upbeat production, romantic melodies, and expressive performances, THROW A DICE is an important debut release for XODIAC and a compelling addition to any K-pop album collection.
