YENA - Good Morning - PLVE Version

YENA released her third mini album, GOOD MORNING, on January 15, 2024, through Yuehua Entertainment. Building on the bright energy that has become a defining part of her solo identity, this K-pop release combines uplifting pop with more personal and introspective storytelling. Its central message encourages listeners to let go of yesterday’s worries and approach each new day with renewed confidence and hope. Through its contrasting concepts and expressive performances, GOOD MORNING presents both the cheerful side of YENA’s personality and the more vulnerable emotions behind her music.

The title track “Good Morning” delivers an energetic, refreshing pop-rock sound, pairing YENA’s powerful vocals with a lively arrangement and an encouraging message about starting over. “Good Girls in the Dark” takes a darker and more theatrical direction, creating a striking contrast with the title track’s optimistic atmosphere. On “Damn U,” YENA explores the frustration and emotional vulnerability of a relationship falling apart, while “The Ugly Duckling” offers a more personal reflection on her experiences and growth. YENA participated in writing and composing both “Good Morning” and “The Ugly Duckling,” adding a personal dimension to a four-track mini album that balances upbeat energy with honest self-expression.

GOOD MORNING marked another step in YENA’s development as a solo K-pop artist, showcasing her versatility across different musical styles while maintaining the distinctive character that connects her releases. The contrast between its hopeful title track and its more emotionally complex B-sides gives the mini album a broader perspective on resilience, self-acceptance, and personal growth. With its memorable melodies, expressive vocals, and encouraging message, GOOD MORNING is a notable addition to YENA’s discography and an appealing release for fans looking for both energetic pop and more personal songwriting.
