YOUNG POSSE - COLD

YOUNG POSSE’s fourth EP COLD was released on March 19, 2025 through DSP Media and BEATS Entertainment, introducing a darker and more mature direction while keeping the group’s distinctive hip-hop identity. Following the playful concepts of MACARONI CHEESE, XXL, and ATE THAT, the five members explore a colder and more intense atmosphere. The release combines strong rap performances with modern production, showing another side of YOUNG POSSE as they continue to develop their sound.

The title track “COLD” brings a heavier and more powerful hip-hop sound, with an assertive rhythm and confident delivery from the members. “Blur” offers a more atmospheric approach, creating a contrast with the intensity of the title track, while “DND” and other tracks on the EP explore different rhythmic and melodic textures. The songs maintain YOUNG POSSE’s emphasis on rap and performance while introducing a more restrained mood compared with their earlier releases. This shift allows the members to showcase a wider range without losing the individuality that defines their music.

COLD marks another stage in YOUNG POSSE’s growth as a K-pop group, showing how their sound can evolve beyond the playful concepts of their early releases. The EP further establishes their reputation for drawing heavily from hip-hop while experimenting with different moods and production styles. With its darker concept, confident performances, and more mature musical direction, COLD adds a new dimension to YOUNG POSSE’s growing discography.
