YUQI - Motivation

YUQI's Motivation is her first single album, released on September 16, 2025 through CUBE Entertainment. The release marks another chapter in the solo career of i-dle's YUQI following her 2024 mini album YUQ1, while showcasing a more confident and mature side of her artistry. For NEVERLAND, Motivation offers a closer look at YUQI's musical identity, with the artist drawing from her own experiences and contributing to the production of the release.

The title track “M.O.” takes inspiration from 1990s boom-bap hip-hop, pairing a strong beat with YUQI's confident energy and a message about ignoring negativity and staying true to yourself. “Gone” provides a more emotional contrast, with both Korean and Chinese versions exploring the pain of a relationship that has come to an end. Together, the tracks move between bold self-confidence and more vulnerable emotions while highlighting YUQI's versatility as a solo artist.

Motivation was well received as YUQI's latest solo release, reaching No. 2 on the Circle Album Chart and earning a Platinum certification in South Korea. The single album also marked her first release to feature Korean lyrics, expanding on the multilingual approach that has become part of her solo identity. With its confident concept and strong chart performance, Motivation further established YUQI as a distinctive solo artist alongside her activities with i-dle and her connection with NEVERLAND.
