XLOV - i=! - i Version

XLOV return with i=!, their third mini album, scheduled for release on October 28, 2026, through StrangeLab. Arriving approximately five months after I,God, the eight-track release explores how choices shape a life and the possibilities left behind when another path is taken. WUMUTI, RUI, HYUN, and HARU expand that concept through double title tracks, new unit pairings, and a musical range spanning electronic dance, hyperpop, and jazz-influenced R&B.

“HUSH” pairs weighty bass with East Asian musical motifs for a mysterious atmosphere, while “Tooth Gem Chiwawa” combines dreamcore and hyperpop influences with strong house rhythms. “CAT MOVE” introduces a feline sense of playfulness through electronic dance production. The unit tracks offer further contrasts: RUI and HARU’s “ALL TIED UP” brings together deep bass and dreamy synthesizers, while WUMUTI and HYUN’s “Silence” features warm piano and jazz-based R&B. A sped-up version of “Tooth Gem Chiwawa” and instrumentals of both title tracks complete the album.

Building on I,God’s chess-inspired story of transformation through pawn promotion, i=! turns towards the consequences of choosing who to become. Member participation strengthens that connection to identity, with WUMUTI contributing across the songwriting and composition and HYUN joining the lyrics for “Silence.” The new unit combinations also give listeners a different perspective on the four members’ chemistry. For fans following XLOV’s developing discography, the mini album continues their conceptual storytelling while introducing a broader set of musical textures.
