CLOSE YOUR EYES - 256th Note - Pulse Version

256th Note is CLOSE YOUR EYES's fourth mini album, set for release on September 30, 2026 through UNCORE. Coming about five months after the group's digital single "POSE," the seven-member group returns with an album inspired by the freedom and improvisation of jazz. The title refers to one of the shortest note values in musical notation, reflecting the idea of capturing fleeting emotions and moments before they pass.

The album opens with "Open Your Eyes," a jazz-inspired track that blends hip-hop and R&B with a piano loop, fast-paced drums and saxophone performances from Yohan Kim and Jacob Scesney. Title track "Drop That!" takes a different direction by sampling Yoon Si-nae's "Enjoy This Night" and reinterpreting its Korean jazz-funk roots through a 1990s street hip-hop sound. "Baby Bossa Nova" adds another change of mood with its bossa nova influence and featured vocals from Joo Hye-rin, while "Eternity" closes the album with lyrics written by all seven members for their fandom, CLOSER.

256th Note follows CLOSE YOUR EYES's rapid growth since their debut in April 2025, with the group having surpassed 1.2 million cumulative album sales across their first three mini albums and earning ten rookie awards before this comeback. The new release also marks a period of increased musical exploration for the group, bringing together jazz, hip-hop, R&B and bossa nova while highlighting their more lyrical and sincere side.
